Gaps in care exist when a member has not received care according to standard guidelines.  The most recognizable gaps in care relate to the failure to receive certain preventive screening tests such as mammograms, eye exams and more.  It’s important for Health Plans to close gaps in care to ensure the Plan is meeting regulatory requirements and achieving the highest possible STARS ratings.

The challenge is that providers are bombarded with messages from a variety of Health Plans for many different reasons and are also messaged by their own EMRs.  With all these messages, it can be difficult for a provider to sort through the noise and take the necessary time to follow through.

Our guest today, Michael Meng, CEO of Stellar Health, will explain how his company helps practicing physicians improve quality and financial performance by prompting providers and their care staff with recommended value-based actions and real-time payments at the point of care.  Show Notes: No Rules Rules: Netflix And The Culture Of Reinvention by Reed Hastings and Erin Meyer.  The All-In Podcast with Chamath Palihapitiya and Jason Calacanis.  This Week In Startups with Jason Calacanis.
